Making Memories

Submitted by: Sarah Haertl, Director of Sales & Marketing

I often get asked about the best part of my job. People usually assume it’s getting to meet the artists that come to play at INTRUST Bank Arena. Over the past two years, I have met some amazing people, some names you would recognize and others, those people who work behind the scenes, you wouldn’t. But by far the best part of my job is that I work in a building where memories are made.

Everyone remembers their first concert. Mine was Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers Band at the Cotillion when I was around eight years old. I also remember the joy of going to the circus as a child and the first time I ever saw a Cirque du Soleil show. Those of us who work at INTRUST Bank Arena get to witness those “firsts” in the eyes of our guests every time we host an event.

This holiday season, INTRUST Bank Arena is giving fans the chance to win guaranteed memories. Beginning today, December 12, and running through December 23, the Arena is offering the 12 Days of Entertainment through our facebook page To kick off the contest, we are giving away two front-row tickets to Trans-Siberian Orchestra and an autographed guitar from the band. And that’s just to get started. The Grand Prize is a Golden Ticket good for two tickets to EVERY event in 2012. Talk about memories!

Other prizes include front row tickets to Brad Paisley; a suite for 16 people and a VIP parking pass to a Wichita Thunder game; front row tickets to George Strait with Martina McBride; VIP tickets and a meet and greet to Disney Live!;  and much more. One of my favorite prize packages is for the Harlem Globetrotters. One lucky person will win four VIP tickets, a player meet and greet and the opportunity for their child to be the official ball kid during the game. For a complete list of prizes visit our website at

We can’t think of a better way to end 2011 than to give fans the chance to win tickets and prizes to their favorite events. 2011 has been another great year with a lot of exciting events. We plan to keep that momentum going into next year.

Cheers to 2012… and to making more memories.
